Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? I’ve always been passionate about retro-gaming, but my first love was computers rather than consoles — the ZX81, then the Commodore 128. Full Void fills a hole on the Switch

I've already ordered the limited edition Evercade version of Full Void, but if you can't wait, the stylish puzzle adventure is out now on Switch and Xbox. The Switch version has a 20% early digital discount, down to £11.19 on the UK eShop, but I'll wait patiently for the box of loveliness that Evercade will deliver next month as the platform's first LE and solo release.

Full Void Evercade

For those unaware, Full Void is a stylish cyberpunk adventure. It offers hand-drawn platform puzzling, tough characters and enemies in a dystopian nightmare cityscape, with a retro-modern look that's packed with detail.

Full Void Switch

As a noir adventure, most of the published screens are pretty dingy. So here's one of the brighter ones, highlighting plenty of attention to detail within the world and our unnamed hero getting along with their bot buddy.

Developed by OutoftheBit, there's a lot of love gone into Full Void and whatever platform you have, it looks like a great adventure to take part in. A PlayStation version will be along soon, which should be good for collecting the trophies after I've completed the Everade version.
