PSP2, Switch 2 and an Xbox handheld... a brighter portable future?

About PS Vita Roundup

This blog exists as I've been a fan of handheld gaming since the Atari Lynx, Sega Game Gear and Nintendo Game Boy days. Playing games on the go, in bed, on the train or without the need for long boot screens and load times seems a lot more convenient to me, and has carried on through the PSP and now the PS Vita, iPad and so on.

2021 Update: So far this year we've celebrated a decade of Vita life, Sony planning to close the Vita, PS3 and PSP store. Then deciding that was really dumb and saving the Vita store. Among all that games still come out thanks to some lovely developers, and homebrewing is now widely accepted to add more games to the roster, as genuine homebrew, Android ports and emulation.

2019 Update: Sure the Vita may be long in the tooth, and Sony has no plans for a third portable, but with its awesome back catalog of games, PSP and PSone titles, there is still years of life left in it. I'll keep updating the blog as long as there's news to post. Even then I still have plenty of reviews to do and share with the many fans still arriving on Vita Island.

All opinions are my own, copyright belongs to the source creators and links are attributed with thanks, when I remember. As the news slows in the Vita's old age, you'll find I share more items on Twitter.
