Funk up your portable life with OneX Sugar Dual-screen transformer

Yet another Indiegogo crowdfunding effort is on the way to lure portable gamers into a funky new gadget. This time, OneXSugar's Sugar 1 boasts a Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chip-powered dual-screen design with a slick transforming mode to access the big screen or configure it how you want.

I'm not sure how anyone can "Enjoy 28% faster GPU and 30% faster CPU" when playing SNES and PSP games. But that's one of the claims, although its mainly the dual-screen design I'm interested in.

The specs include WiFi 7 and an 8-core Kryo CPU, backed an Adreno A32 GPU. But the main draw has to be the 6.01-inch main screen and a 3.92-inch secondary screen for 3DS-style modes.

Having looked at the video, I'm deeply sceptical about the mechanisms and long-term reliability for the hinges. Anyway, you can sign up now to save 30% on whatever the final price is, and I'm betting this will be a huge seller in Japan, but less likely to make waves over here.
