Cave Dave leaps into retro mega-death action

Available on itch.io, and as a Game Boy Color or Analogue Pocket file, Cave Dave is picking up lots of love online and you can buy it for a dollar, although I'd like to think you'd chip in a few more.

Published by Rocketship and Thalamus, what we have here is a mini Spelunky if it was developed in the age of Lemmings, across 8- and 16-bit consoles. 

The game also gets a mention as the object of Dave's desire is his lost PSP! Along with name checks for the Vita, Game Boy Color and other portable systems. 

Using ropes and bombs, Dave has to leap and explore, while avoiding spikes and temperamental platforms, and dropping on the nasties to find the golden PSP. Grab enough coins to access further levels, and kill all the nasties for completeness-sake, and extra bonuses. 

Come for the retro charm and stay for the delighted generational-console backgrounds and endless screaming deaths! A delight to play on the Miyoo Mini or device of your choice, just like Spelunky you'll scream at the unfairness of some deaths and curse yourself for many others.
