Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? I’ve always been passionate about retro-gaming, but my first love was computers rather than consoles — the ZX81, then the Commodore 128. I only really discovered the console world in the late 90s, which is when I got my very first Vectrex. Rumble Trucks hits the PSP this week

Arriving in the form of a mini on the PSN, Playerthree’s second PlayStation Minis game is out today (for the US) while European subscribers will get a chance to download Rumble Trucks a day later, non Plus members can get it in the middle of the month.

Rumble Trucks is a side-scrolling stunt-racing game. Choose from a range of un-lockable vehicles and race through crazy tracks on different terrains, perform tricks to gain extra boosts and dash to the finish fast enough to unlock the next stage. The player can collect stars and pick-ups through each level to go for bigger bonuses.

·         9 selectable vehicles
·         24 fun tracks to master
·         Tricks and trophies

Rumble Trucks will be available to non-PlayStation Plus subscribers from the 16th of November and will be priced at £2.39, € 2.99 and $3.99 according to region.
