Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  Update: the Vectrex Kickstarter is live and blew past its first funding goal in ab out 15 minutes, and approaching £450K and 2,500 backers in its first day.   His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? Steins Gate Reboot trailer takes us back in time

Of all the games in the world that need rebooting, Steins;Gate (Vita review) isn't one of them. A perfectly gorgeous visual novel on PSP/Vita and many other platforms, the time-travel-head-fuck story of a Tokyo geek and his feline-obsessed pals remains one of the finest examples across the genre.

However, Spike Chunsoft and developer Mages need to keep the pennies rolling in and this is a good a cash cow as any. Featuring updated imagery, a tweaked user interface and some edits/scenario additions to the original story, it is a must-play with multiple brutal and delightful endings.

FYI - the previous reboot/update Steins Gate Elite is around £10 on the PSN and Nintendo eShop Black Friday sales if you don't want to wait around!

To modernise things a little further, the cast has new costumes and accessories. No sign of that in the video, but hopefully we'll see some pics soon.

Steins is only listed for PC for now, but a Reboot console release, specially for Switch has to be on the cards.
