Monster Hunter Stories 1 & 2 head to Switch and PS4

It feels like Capcom has taken their foot off the Monster Hunter gas pedal in recent years, letting Monster Hunter World and Rise do the heavy lifting. As a stop gap until the next proper release, Wilds in 2025, Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin are gnashing their teeth in the direction of "modern" platforms this summer as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations! 

That's the Switch and PS4 (but no PS5, although at least that makes it a shoe-in for Remote Players on the Vita) getting a hefty dose of turn-based role playing arriving June 14, 2024. The basics are: improved visuals, new modes and some digital special bonuses. All of which comes as the series approaches 100 million total sales (with 25 million for World). From the blurb:

"Riders can expect an epic summer full of adventure with Monster Hunter Stories and its new features, including full Japanese and English voiceovers, seven new subtitle languages, a new Museum Mode that spans over 200 pieces of concept art, background music, and developer sketches, and title updates that were previously only available in Japan. Pre-orders for both titles will be available soon with special bonuses including Navirou’s King and Queen outfits for Monster Hunter Stories, as well as Ena’s Kamura Maiden outfit for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
