Checking in on TimeSpinner 2 progress

It has been nearly 18 months since the TimeSpinner 2: Unwoven Dream reveal, making now a good time to check in on Lunar Ray Games' second outing.

The successor to the superb TimeSpinner, a game that I loved on the Vita, but never got around to putting a review up, must fix that at some point. TS2 looks great, but Lunar Ray is keeping the big features quiet for now, while showing off interesting aspects of the design process.

As we learned with TimeSpinner, Lunar Ray (aka Bodie Lee) likes to take his time with his projects and while there's no new videos or main features shared, he's been showing off development work on Twitch streams, follow him on Blue Sky for the next episode.

Various Twitch streams have included animating new monsters, creating new doors, UI work and all the other leg-work that goes on in the background of making this labour of love.

Among his posts, I also a recommendation for Kingdom Shell, a gorgeous looking Steam release that should fill in some of the hours until TS2 arrives. A reminder that BitKid, the people behind the equally sublime Chasm are hard at work on Wolfhound, a more action-oriented Metroid-style title set in WWII.

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
