The Vita: six months on in Japan, best sellers so far

Famitsu magazine has put up an article highlighting, (if that's the word), the Vita's first six months on the Japanese market. In effect, a third of all its sales happened in the first two weeks. But Sony is firmly looking forward on the strength of Persona's showing, and with a strong line-up for the next few months, plus the promise of new games to be shown in the Game Heaven and TGS show.

Total hardware sales: 790,633 units

Top 10 games:
01: Persona 4 The Golden (188,782)
02: Hot Shots Golf 6 (118,985)
03: Uncharted Golden Abyss (89,390)
04: Gravity Daze/Rush (74,785)
05: Dynasty Warriors Next (74,718)
06: Tales of Innocence R (71,463)
07: Lord of Apocalypse (69,162)
08: Ragnarok Odyssey (65,318)
09: Gundam Seed Battle Destiny (55,527)
10: Disgaea 3 Return (54,902)
Game sales of 788,314 for that lot make it seem like each Vita has just one game, but there are plenty of smaller selling titles out there. Also, this doesn't include digital downloads which are likely to be at a higher ratio in a culture well used, and happier, to download games and content than ours. Ragnarok recently celebrated over 100,000 sales, so you could easily add 30%+ to those numbers.
