July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Evercade adds 2 Visco carts to the arcade roster

Where will Evercade go next? Is a regular question among us owners and fans, especially after the recent Activision and Neo Geo love in. And Blaze has pulled another left-field blinder, announcing Japan's Visco Arcade 1 and Arcade 2 collections. Arriving at the end of August, they bring together 16 arcade titles from the catalogue of the 90's Japanese developer.

Evercade Visco

Spanning shoot 'em ups, rally racing, fighting games, sports titles, and arcade curios, that also hit Neo Geo, there are some semi-familiar sounding names, but nothing that leaps out, making this a proper adventure for me, and I'm guessing many others. 



For those new to Evercade or tempted to leap in, each cartridge includes the usual full-colour manual featuring game information, controls, and historical details, helping players discover the stories behind these arcade classics. 

They are compatible with the full Evercade ecosystem, meaning you can play these on Super Pocket consoles, Evercade Alphas and everything in between with the same cartridge and access to your saved games.

Both cartridges will be part of the purple-coloured arcade game line. Visco Arcade 1 and Visco Arcade 2 will each be available for £19.99, $29.99, and €24.99, releasing on August 28th, 2026. Titles include:
