July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Escape 2049 needs a boost for Mega Drive physical

A fresh addition to the recent Kickstarter projects that have piqued my curiosity, Escape 2049 is up there as a Mega Drive/GBA

Escape 2049 is a new action puzzle platformer, and sequel of Escape 2042, originally released in 2016. Playing as the leggy Elena across 4 different worlds of action shooter, it features 12 levels and 12 bosses, challenging puzzles, a stunning (AI created, nice of the devs to let us know up front) intro and full motion videos!

The project has less than a couple of weeks to go, and only needs around £17K to hit funding, so get backing for a Steam version of Mega Drive or GBA physical release.

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
