Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  Update: the Vectrex Kickstarter is live and blew past its first funding goal in ab out 15 minutes, and approaching £450K and 2,500 backers in its first day.   His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! Evercade tricks out the Turrican collection

Just as the news calendar winds down for the year, along comes Evercade to put a big fat grim on retro gamers faces. 

The Turrican Collection is open for pre-orders today, releasing February. It brings the 16-bit iconic action game series to Evercade in one definitive package of Factor 5 action and classic tunes from Chris Huelsbeck.

 


Featuring the complete original eight games by legendary developer Factor 5, including Amiga and console versions, it showcases the evolution of Turrican across generations. 

Also included are two bonus "Director's Cut" versions of Super Turrican and Mega Turrican, restoring previously cut content and offering an alternative take on these classics.

I loved the original on my ST and have a version on Switch, but this is the mother lode... I do hope there's time to stick a media player in there that can pull the tracks out the code, that'd be a cool extra.
