It only feels like a few weeks since the Evercade Spring event, but the summer bash has come and gone. Unfortunately, I wasn't around last week, so its a great surprise to see a new indie as a key part of the Evercade line-up announced during their 5th anniversary show.
Firstly, happy birthday to Evercade and congrats on the success, with wishes for much more (he says clutching his launch OG model).
Amiga indie hit Roguecraft fits in among the usual summer release slots in a DX version, following on from previous grand indie discoveries like Full Void and its lovely blue cart.
Coming from Badger Punch Games, the DX edition of the award-winning Amiga indie has improved isometric visuals, glorious RPG monsters, new music tracks and killer chickens to disrupt your dungeon plundering exploits.
Update: Check out the new Evercade blog post on RDX for more detail.
Roguecraft DX fits into the summer release schedule, arriving on the 1st September alongside four fresh arcade collections:
- Taito Arcade Collections 1 & 2 (trailer) From Space invaders to Bubble Bobble and Elevator Action among many other classics.
- NeoGeo Arcade Collections 2 & 3 (trailer) Including many Metal Slugs, Ninja Commando, Samurai Showdown and more.
And on the hardware front, there's a Taito table-top arcade unit with dual Evercade cart-slots, Bubble Bobble, Rastan or Space Invaders marquee stylings for those who want to go the full retro.
Pre-orders are live now or at the end of June for the Taito games with standard Evercade pricing.
