Possible new PlayStation Portal model pays homage to the Vita's OLED

While much of the focus on PlayStation's next steps is the PS6 and PS6 Portable , the two-year old PlayStation Portal could be getting a revamp according to those pesky internet rumours.  Update : Hints at pricing are around £/$250-299 for the new model, but everything remains deeply in rumours territory. Presumably the goal is to hit the 10% (currently 7%-ish) adoption rate among PS5 owners, something that would make it a bone fide hit gadget.   The recent February  PlayStation State of Play  saw no announcement. But, PlayStation needs to make Portal more a core member of the PS5 family, rather than the distant cousin that most of its appearances suggest.  As the improvement in connectivity and streaming tech, proven by many gamers enjoying their PS5 or PlayStation Plus streamed content from around the world, an updated Portal Pro could be on the cards.  Possibly featuring a 120Hz display and an OLED screen in honour of the mighty Vita, that'd be coo...

Donut Dodo Fantastico cooking in the fryer

Pixel Games Donut Dodo is one of my favourite indie games of recent times, perfectly capturing the spirit and challenge of single-screen platformers. And the great news is Baker Billy and the nefarious Dodo (and Junior) are at it again with a new Fantastico release listed on Steam, but hopefully headed to consoles including Evercade too.

The goofy Dodo returns to treat Dodo Junior to a day at the vintage funfair, setting the theme and challenges for this edition. With a delightful outing packed with spinning rides, wild attractions, and enough donuts to hit the sweet spot!

Baker Billy is at the fair to grab every last donut before little Junior can get those wings sticky! All of which means more great fun in a single-screen arcade platform-style.

All inspired by the golden age of gaming. Billy must run, climb, jump, and scramble through colourful stages - dodging enemies, bouncing through hazards, and snatching up donuts before time runs out.

Each of the six stage is a quick, skill-based challenge designed for short and sweet play sessions - whether you’ve got 3 minutes or 30, there’s always time for “just one more run.”

This time there are multiple secrets and alternate endings based on skill and progression, plus local and global high-score leaderboards, arcade-style plus more vivid visuals and chiptune cheery choons.

PS, still wondering where Bobby Bombastic is!
