Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! Ayaneo ups the portable power with the Pocket S range

Android devices are driving retro gaming to new heights with a constant raft of specification updates. The new Ayaneo Pocket S is the latest example, packing a six-inch 1440p borderless IPS screen, a Snapdragon G3x second-generation processor, improved cooling and new Hall sensing thumb-sticks and triggers.

Updated: Pocket S prices and configurations have dropped, starting at $439 for early adopters up to $659 for a 1TB model, and then - well whimper for yourself...

Looking very much like the Switch should have, the Pocket S features a 1GHz GPU to power both modern and retro games, and up to 16GB memory with a maximum of 1TB storage, it can handle any retro collection with ease. It looks like it will easily play PS2 and Dreamcast games, all the way up to some current systems through emulation.

A proper launch event goes live on April 26th, but enjoy the black vs white promo video for now, and if you don't need the latest in processor power, Anayeo has plenty more models and styles to choose from across all budgets.

Check out a preview video from Retro Game Corps from some more insights into the first-look hardware and see where there's room for improvement before it hits the retro store shelves.
