Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? PSP's Pursuit Force: EJ, Medievil and Ape Escape hit bigger PSPlus screens

Hot on the heels of the original Pursuit Force from BigBigGames, Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice makes its way from the PSP to the PlayStation Plus roster in August. With new bosses to take down, while the PS5 treatment adds improved visuals, display settings, trophies and easier save, load and rewinds.

Key for players, Extreme Justice is considered a little more rookie-friendly to the original which had a very steep and inflexible mission structure and difficulty curve. Below is a side-by-side comparison of the PSP Pursuit Force original and the slightly smoother PS+ version.

Also headed over the PS5/PS4 are Medieval Resurrection, a revamped and improved funky and colourful adventure in the shoes of Sir Daniel Fortesque thanks to Cambridge Studio. Finally, Ape Escape: On The Loose, one of the main series games that made it portable from Japan Studio.

Still waiting for Ace Combat Skies of Deception, Sid Meier's Pirates and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite to cross the as-a-service bridge, but we can dream!
