July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Piko Collection 3 peeks out from Evercade

 A Sunday press release? Can't blame Evercade and Blaze for sneaking things out when they have such a fun and receptive community. Any way, I was out doing a recycling run and pub lunch, so missed all of yesterday's joy. That includes another unreleased game, a PlayStation title, and a tiny physical cart of joy, what's not to like? 


The first two Piko collections represent a superb mix of console sporting and arcade action, from the likes of Brutal Sports Football to the charming Humans. Collection No. 3 brings a similar mix of arcade games, puzzlers and more, featuring:
