July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Koei Tecmo teases the next Atelier

 As part of the ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations, there's a new YouTube video up showing off the heroines of the Atelier series, many of which saw their tales played out on the Vita. While the next game will likely be PS5/Switch only, with flashier cauldrons and effects, take the time to enjoy this trip down memory lane and imagine what developers Gust can come up with on beefier hardware. 

The celebration started a few months back, this is likely the start of the serious push for the next game. I'm guessing the last 30 seconds is a hint at what's to come...
