Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? I’ve always been passionate about retro-gaming, but my first love was computers rather than consoles — the ZX81, then the Commodore 128. I only really discovered the console world in the late 90s, which is when I got my very first Vectrex. Of course, I had seen it in stores back in 1983, but at that time it was far too expensive for me.  Today, I own five Vectrex systems at home. Vector-based games ...

Diablo II Resurrected could be a Switch best-seller

Diablo II, launched by Blizzard back in 2000, sold over 30 million copies on PC, and the remaster is likely to do big business. But I reckon the Resurrected remaster could do best on Switch as the more condensed nature of its missions, compared to modern dungeon-games, and the relatively compact nature of its graphics, even in the remaster, will make it perfect for portable play.

The updated version arrives on September 23rd, and I'll be grabbing it on Switch over other platforms to enjoy the go-anywhere play compared to being glued to a big-screen. Some fresh info is up from a chat between PlayforAll and exec producer Rod Fergusson

I know there was plenty of big news from E3, but Diablo II is still my most-looked forward to game of the year. That's thanks to the many years of play I put into the original with office raids at work, many long nights at home online and the near-endless quest for those best sets of armour and other gear through the many updates.

Given the Diablo III Eternal Collection is £80 on Amazon, think this should also be more competitively priced, hopefully!
