Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? Death Tales dances with the Vita soon with Eastasiasoft

Luc Bernard may take his time, but he does deliver! Death Tales has been teased and teased, with some stunningly bright images. Now, it is finally confirmed for a January 2021 release as part of  Eastasiasoft's triple bill of horror titles themed around Halloween.

Death Tales is an action side-scroller, presented in that vibrant yet grim hand-drawn art style. Play as a reaper and retrieve the souls of the dying in order to protect them from dark forces in this unique adventure that incorporates RPG elements and platforming gameplay.

Death Tales will be a physical exclusive (no PSN release) on PS Vita. Annoyingly the print run is the same as the other, older games, at only 1,500, which is crazy for a new title and a physical only release!

  • Battle your way through 30 beautifully designed levels
  • Help colorful characters through various side quests
  • Acquire over 40 pieces of equipment
  • Take on horrid enemies and defeat epic bosses

Rounding out the trio are pixel art beat ‘em up Kawaii Deathu Desu, and retro platformer Halloween Forever, already on PSN, but making a welcome physical excursion of the undead.
