Sony drops Top Hat's Big Dipper visual novel

WWE announcer style - "From out of the polar wastes, weighing in at 450MB.... its Big Dipper, managed by, from parts unknown, USA - Top Hat Studios..." (crowd goes wild).

UPDATE: Fresh trophy listing suggests a proper release!

Or, in a more usual style, Sony's fucked up again and somehow released a whole game (only on US PSN for now) completely to the publisher's surprise. Enter Big Dipper, a tale of love on New Year's Eve, with poor Old Top Hat only having a placeholder on their website.

Fortunately, the game came out on Steam last year, developed by Team Zimno and I can borrow their promo trailer and the plot summary.

Top Hat seem be to taking up Ratalaika's mantle as the hero of the Vita, and with games that look this intriguing and well crafted, good on them. And its only $5, telling the tale of a miracle beyond the polar circle. Big Dipper is a billed as a kinetic visual novel, telling a romantic story of the unusual circumstances that brought two lovers together one fateful New Year's Eve.

Currently playing on my Vita/PS4/PS5
