July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Beyond Human Kickstarter launches

Kickstarter generally seems to be on a downward slope, with little or no Vita action and less interest from developers. But, there's always room for one more and Beyond Human, the sci-fi Metroid-style game is now up for funding. It only needs €25,000 for the Vita and PS4 version to get made with plenty of the groundwork already done.

With a 2019 release date, it could see the Vita almost into the next decade, and who would have thought that! Check out the other recent KS action. There are a few more games still planned with Vita versions, and who knows how many others may pop one up.

UPDATE: LimitedRun Games has commented on the Reddit thread that they would be interested in a physical version if the game comes to fruition.
