July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Japan gets a Minecraft Vita bundle

With the game approaching one-million physical sales in Japan, now is clearly the perfect time to launch a Minecraft LE Vita model. Available only on the PlayStation Store it comes in two styles of design with a pouch, Minecraft theme, the game plus DLC. Landing on the 6th December, along with the new red and silver color models, it should be a hit for Japan's holiday season.
Have to say I'd prefer the lower style. Wonder if Sony in the west are tempted to try and make some money out of a game that continues to print it? No, of course not. Check out all the other Vita models in the universe.
