July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Mary Skelter launches her RPG in Japan

If I can look past the pointless non-spankfest that is Criminal Girls 2 for a tightly knit bit of pixel RPG fun, then I think its pretty reasonable to ignore the mild titillation in Mary Skelter. After all, it look like a decent 3D block-based RPG from Compile Heart lurks behind the fan service.

Out tomorrow in Japan, the launch trailer for Divine Prison Tower (its suspiciously familiar sounding full name) comes on the back of a fair bit of promotion and as a Vita exclusive, it is more than likely to come west to help prop up overall sales.

Mary Skelter scored all eights in last week's Famitsu review.
