July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Space Overlords taking over in September

I haven't covered Space Overlords since the start of the year,  but the 12 Hit Combo game will land on PSN in September. The Vita version will be a single player game, the PS3 has a two-player option and the PS4 extends to up to four players.

A Cross Buy promotion, it will cost £5.99 or $7.99.  In its simplest format gamers can enjoy the search and destroy gameplay but there are many other elements such as the planet creation tool and different game modes for the various single player and multi-player experiences.
