Possible new PlayStation Portal model pays homage to the Vita's OLED

While much of the focus on PlayStation's next steps is the PS6 and PS6 Portable , the two-year old PlayStation Portal could be getting a revamp according to those pesky internet rumours.  Update : Hints at pricing are around £/$250-299 for the new model, but everything remains deeply in rumours territory. Presumably the goal is to hit the 10% (currently 7%-ish) adoption rate among PS5 owners, something that would make it a bone fide hit gadget.   The recent February  PlayStation State of Play  saw no announcement. Sword Art Online hits the EU PSN and retail

Lost Song is now singing out on the shelves, the latest in the Sword Art Online series. In the game, your heroes, face-off against a mysterious guild and explore the beautiful land of Svart ALfheim - a brand new area of ALfheim Online (as seen in the anime). It costs 29.99 on PSN and is PlayStation TV compatible.

Fly across the world and fight enemies in unique aerial combat, traverse from one floating island to the next, explore dungeons and complete dangerous quests. A revised fighting system also allows players to engage enemies in dynamic and thrilling combat.

Bandai states its plan is to bring Sword Art Online games to the level where our other anime and manga based games are. We are investing in this brand by bringing more games to the online and physical shelves, by localizing them, by working hand in hand with the original author, by creating exclusive content and offers for our fans and above all: by listening to them.

That translates (to me) as "start buying these games, otherwise we won't be making any more".

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
