July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Freedom Wars heads to jail in the UK chart

Ouch, I know it did a lot of pre-orders, but Sony's last major Vita game (probably) Freedom Wars (see the review scores for the game) couldn't stick to the top of the Vita chart for longer than a week, even with its thorny appendage. It is already down to No. 3 behind Killzone and FIFA. That's why no one is developing for Vita in a big way!

Did any other console (except a Nintendo) have a launch game, Uncharted, in the top five nearly three years after launch?

The only other new entry was Muppet Movie Adventures at No. 20 suggesting that even kids aren't buying Vita games. With Batman and Minecraft out this and next week, after that it's pure Japanese on the schedule, at which point even having a Vita chart remains pretty much useless.
