Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! Student project Origami Kami hits PlayStation Mobile

Senior students from the University of Utah’s Entertainment Arts and Engineering (EAE) program have released their senior project game for Playstation Vita. Created over the course of a school year, the game is the graduating student’s final project.

“Origami Kami” is a top down, 3D puzzle boat game. Players collect paper cranes while navigating stunning Asian rivers while avoiding whirlpools and other hazards. Accumulated cranes can be used to purchase additional boat models and skins. “’Origami Kami’ is an easy game to pick up, play, and get lost in,” said Ross Marabella, producer for Valhalla Studio Productions, who worked on the game with 10 other programmers, artists, and designers from the University of Utah. “It’s a perfect game to unwind while enjoying the scenic water and world.”

The game is available now on PlayStation Mobile for PlayStation Vita or select PlayStation Certified Android devices. It retails for $1.29.

UPDATE: Now out on the EU PSN (21 May) for just 99p.
