July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. EU PSN Update live, play Pinball Arcade for free

This week's PSN title for Vita owners is Pinball Arcade, which is doing battle with Marvel Pinball for Vita owners affections. Aside from that there's the peculiar looking Doodle God and a demo for Sonic Racing Transformed, which I heartily recommend.

Beats Slider goes free on PSM, while PS All-Stars Battle Royale is down to £19.99 in the PSN sale, plus an extra 10% off for PS+ subs. That's still pretty feeble fare compared to the PS3's The Cave and demos for Dead Space 3 and Metal Gear Rising.

Also, why no Wake Up Club app yet? How hard can it be to get that running in Europe!

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
