July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. New Dengeki PlayStation mag promises news on the Vita in 2013

Out onsale next week, a new PS mag from Dengeki celebrates everything Yakuza 5, but in the contents is a article that translates as "Now and Future of PS Vita."


It follows "One Year Anniversary Special Release of the PS Vita. Looks to the current situation and future hardware PS Vita, services and software! With Gravity Daze's Mr. Toyama and SCE President Mr. Kono!"

I'm not sure if that's going to be a real tease of new games to come, or some solid announcements (or just a bad translation), but the magazine is onsale now, so it shouldn't be too long before we get some scans to ogle.
