July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Grand Knights History U.S. release canned

Xseed has found the challenge of converting the awesome looking Vanillaware Grand Knights title for a western audience too much and have cancelled it. Not sure if that will also mean no European edition, but hope lingers for now.

The unique-looking action RPG was one of the most original projects in the later years of the PSP and hit the No. 1 spot in Japan on launch.



As seen on NeoGaf, their message is "XSEED Games has confirmed it will not publish Grand Knights History in North America as previously announced. Unfortunately, it was determined that development resources required to localize the game were not available, necessitating its cancellation. We regret not being able to bring the game to our fans, but we are committed to our 2012 lineup and look forward to sharing more on these games in the coming weeks and months."
