July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Japanese Getting TV Service on Their PS Vitas

While Sony announced the likes of Twitter and Facebook for the PS Vita at GamesCom, Sony Japan is likely to have far cooler things like the Nico Nico TV service among others. According to Andriasang, Dwango is advertising for service engineers to help bring the project to Vita.

The Japanese not only get Vita first, but get it with added crazy shit!

It would be good to see similar services from cable or satellite providers, IPTV services and other sources providing apps for the Vita so it becomes a more rounded device. In one word, iPlayer please! Since its available for the Wii, that shouldn't be too much of a stretch!
