July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Meet Mr. Inkjet, a Unique PSVita Game

Mr Inkjet is an example right out of the "experimental" phase of what the heck can we do with all these sensors on the PlayStation Vita. It might be genius, it might be a mess, it comes from Japan's AQ Interactive. GamesRadar has a preview of this game where you use your fingers on the back panel to act as the titular character's limbs and to help guide him through a number of sticky situations.

The character is copied into the game via the Vita's camera and, despite having a mostly naked Simon Cowell lookalike in it, the preview commends the high quality of the image. The controls, inevitably, will take some getting used to.  AQ has just merged with Liveware and Marvellous according to a recent press release, but we hope this doesn't get cut in the takeover, as the Vita needs some quirk to give it soul.
