PSN Going Down for Work on 31 May, Will the Store Come Back After?

Sony has just posted advance warning of some PSN maintenance next week, at the end of the month. While not saying so, we assume the PSN store will be available once the service is restored. It would be good of Sony to clarify how it plans to manage all this demand, is anyone listening?
