July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. About All These Games of 2011 Roundups

Now that we're breaking out of the January lull, I'm seeing quite a few lists of games of 2011. Can I add to the fuss - while most folks are listing sequel x,y,z - rumoured game this and 10% finished project the other - that the best games of 2011 will be:

The first PSP2 game where one player can play on the PS3 and a second joins in the same game, ideally in the same room for bragging rights, on the PSP2 – THAT will be awesome!

In a similar vein, I would add any 3DS game that makes genuine use of the 3D in a novel way, that inspires developers to try new things and not just rehash their old tat with an extra D.

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
