PlayStation's State of Play had lots on show, but its really the classics that stood out with a new Digimon and then this little throwing star. Whenever I dive into retro/emulator mode, one of the series that always catches my eye is Shinobi, a standout turn from my Mega Drive youth.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is here to remind the world of how effortlessly cool those games were, hopefully with the originals bolted on, or a switchable graphics mode.
So, its great, in fact most excellent, to see LizardCube, the folk behind stellar remasters of Wonder Boy: The Dragons Trap and Streets of Rage 4 behind this hand-drawn update for Sega.
