OMEGA 6 The Triangle Stars radiates retro to the Switch

Today is one of those days where gaming feels like its not about polygons and shaders, but pure fun. First up was the news of Terminator 2D, now comes OMEGA 6 The Triangle Stars, from Clear River and City Connection. A GBA love-in from Takaya Imamura, the chap behind Star Fox, F-Zero and The Legend of Zelda, he has crafted a genuine space opera.

Landing on Switch and PC, OMEGA 6 The Triangle Stars brings a 16-bit retro adventure to modern screens. It features over 100 eccentric alien folk from three distinct planets. Available now on eShop and with a physical release, celebrate all things weirdly alien.

After a wormhole opened up near Mars along with an influx of extra-terrestrials who have made their home across Earth’s major cities, Donald Trump would be crapping himself at the migrant chaos. With growing concerns, Dr. Victor Franklin creates a pair of androids, Flavo and Prop.  Players must help humans Thunder and Kyla and their android buddies on a planet-hopping mission to find a new home suitable, a fine treasure indeed!

Mixing classic adventure-style gameplay with RPG mechanics and an interactive comic book style, OMEGA 6 The Triangle Stars offers action, humour, and intergalactic thrills today. Fans of manga wishing to experience OMEGA 6 in English are also in for a treat, with Dark Horse Comics® confirmed to be publishing the story in English for the first time later this year.
