July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 burps at the Vita chart

Managing a new entry at No. 3, ReBirth 3 is pretty much the only thing of interest in this week's Vita Uk sales chart. It didn't trouble the all-formats chart and since it only went on-sale on Friday, has probably sold literally 'some' copies.



LEGO Jurassic World sticks at No. 1 with Minecraft holding firm at No. 2. Interestingly, Microsoft has a new version of Minecraft out for the Windows 10 launch. Is this the start of MS moving it away from other platforms? Unlikely but who knows. FIFA lurks like a bad small at No.4,  J-Stars is down to No. 5, and Stein's Gate drops down to 6, but is still hanging in there.
