July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. God Eater 2 Vita headed to No. 1 in Japan

Early chart data from Japan suggests the Vita version is handily out-selling the PSP edition of God Eater 2, which is as you'd expect with more Vita stock, and is headed straight for No. 1. Retail chain Tsutaya puts it well above its rivals.

But the big question, given that all the marketing guaranteed a big start is, can GE2 continue to sell and become Sony/Namco's equivalent to the Monster Hunter series, picking up a million or more sales, driving Vita sales higher? Also, I wonder how well the Vita TV did? I'm guessing not so hot since Sony hasn't made any huge announcements as it did with the PS4
