July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

 The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Especially with the limp Xbox is-it-isn't-it launch .  July 2026 Update : Sony managed a cannon-fire sized self-inflicted injury by announcing the end of physical releases across the end of the PS5 era and the launch of the PS6. Kojima shows off Metal Gear HD on Vita

Just a pic in a tweet, but still good news with the western release of the PS3/Xbox versions just on-sale, it looks like the Vita version won't be too far behind. The pack includes MGS2, 3 and the PSP's Peace Walker, all tarted up in glorious HD.


Hopefully, there will be a sweet bundle, perhaps that Fox Hound case in the background could be remoulded into a PSV case, or just stick a badge on the ThrustMaster Uncharted case.

UPDATED: Hideo seems to be on a roll with these updates. The latest pair come from the sound recording studio where they are redoing some of the game's speech. Tease away all you like Mr. Kojima, as long as the final product hits the spot.
