July Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. Namco sells shed-loads of PSP games

Namco reported $100 million profits today based on strong sales. Top of the heap was its PSP range selling some 1.9 million units out of 7.2 million in total. Not bad for an ageing system. Most of those were probably in Japan where the likes of AKB1/48 2 sold over 380,000 copies and Taiko Drum Master that topped 220,000.

You can check out the full report here, but there's not much info on specific games. With Ridge Racer, Katamari and Shinobido 2 lined-up for the Vita, looks like Namco should have a good final quarter in Japan too.

Currently playing on my Vita/PS3/PS4/PS5
