Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? I’ve always been passionate about retro-gaming, but my first love was computers rather than consoles — the ZX81, then the Commodore 128. I only really discovered the console world in the late 90s, which is when I got my very first Vectrex. As E3 Bows Out, Where Next for Big Sony Vita News?

With the E3 news taps starting to slow to the odd drip, where will get out next rush of gaming news? The answers are below, and its most likely that if you haven't heard about your favourite games hitting Sony's Vita yet, the company concerned may not be ready to announce it yet, or doesn't want to be overlooked in the E3 scrum.

These events are prime places for some breaking gaming news, with many Japanese developers saving their big news for home turf and others just trying to spread the load of their news. What could we see at these events?

Well, Blizzcon is the most likely place to see the unveiling of a PS3 (or even a Vita) version of Diablo 3.Comic-Con will naturally play host to any superhero-themed announcements while GamesCon is often the launchpad for some of 2012's big hitters and hands-on gameplay for the titles we've only seen video of at E3.
