June Update: PlayStation 6 and PlayStation Portable future visions

The recent PlayStation video about the "simulated" technology in development, discussed between AMD and Sony engineers that will power the PlayStation 6 was interesting from a geek point of view. But from a gameplay perspective, there is - IMO - no need for a PlayStation 6 for another few years. Evercade adds 2 Visco carts to the arcade roster

Where will Evercade go next is a regular question among us owners and fans. And Blaze has pulled another blinder, announcing Japan's Visco Arcade 1 and Arcade 2 collections. The collections, arriving at the end of August, bring together sixteen arcade titles from the catalogue of the 90's Japanese developer.

Check out the updated release list.

Evercade Visco

Spanning shoot 'em ups, racing games, fighting games, sports titles, and arcade curios, that also hit NEOGEO, there are some semi-familiar sounding names, but nothing that leaps out, making this a proper adventure for me, and I'm guessing many others.

Each cartridge includes a full-colour manual featuring game information, controls, and historical details, helping players discover the stories behind these arcade classics. They are compatible with the full Evercade ecosystem, meaning you can play these on Super Pocket consoles, Evercade Alphas and everything in between with the same cartridge and access to your saved games.

Both cartridges will be part of the purple-coloured arcade game line. Visco Arcade 1 and Visco Arcade 2 will each be available for £19.99, $29.99, and €24.99, releasing on August 28th, 2026. Compatible with all Evercade hardware, including Evercade Alpha, and playable on HyperMegaTech! Super Pocket consoles, bringing arcade gaming to players at home and on the go. Titles include:
