Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? I’ve always been passionate about retro-gaming, but my first love was computers rather than consoles — the ZX81, then the Commodore 128. I only really discovered the console world in the late 90s, which is when I got my very first Vectrex. Of course, I had seen it in stores back in 1983, but at that time it was far too expensive for me.  Today, I own five Vectrex systems at home. Vector-based games ...

Nintendo Direct reveals murderous intent with Danganronpa 2X2

There was so much cuteness across today's Nintendo Direct that it was at risk of sending the audience into a saccharine coma. Fortunately, stomping in to save the day is a remake of Danganronpa 2 (okay, and Mortal Kombat), arriving next year.

Badged as Danganronpa 2X2, there's a new story with fresh victims and culprits, along with the ‘Goodbye Despair’ classic, as Spike Chunsoft revisits its most infamous series.

Why not the first one, Trigger Happy Havoc, who knows?

The new story basically doubles the amount of murderous mayhem, with the visual novel getting upgraded HD graphics and headed to Switch 2, Switch, PS5 and more.

The legendary Danganronpa series across PlayStation Portable and Vita is full of blood, brutal murder and an equally vicious trial system. The games have made it most other formats over time, but the best place to solve these brutal crimes is definitely tucked up in the dark on a handheld screen with lashings of purple blood daubing the OLED (or LED) screen!

Can you find the guilty party or will you send innocent people (or yourself) to a horrendously icky death!

Oh yeah, and Resident Evil Requiem is coming too!
