Well Dweller sees plenty of soul emerge from the hole

 Nintendo just threw a dozen new indies at the wall during its latest trailer fest, and the one that stood out for me has to be Well Dweller (all caps apparently, but no!) 

Spinning the usual fairy tales around, deep within a dark forest, at the bottom of a well, lives the only creature brave enough to oppose the an evil Queen. 

We play as Glimmer—a tiny bird armed with a magic and multi-function matchstick, who's family have been kidnapped. He must torch the wicked Her Majesty to save his family before they get plucked and become part of her royal gown! 

Befriend a range of charming characters who reside in the kingdom’s underbelly, and reunite all your budgie mates.

Well Dweller is a dark fairy-tale Metroidvania, packed with menace from the Kyle Thompson, creator of Crypt Custodian and Islets, published by Top Hat Studios, Inc.
