Check out the clamshell Anbernic RG 34XXSP

 Anbernic seems to have got clamshell fever recently, with the new RG 34XXSP design boasting a 3.4-inch full-fit IPS screen with 720x480 res display for all your retro fun. It comes in gaudy yellow, or more subtle gray, black, and indigo case options.

On the lower side, there are dual joysticks in a classic layout, or you can use Bluetooth wireless controllers for more relaxed play. 

The system is powerful enough to play PSP, N64, NDS, DOS, DC, PS1-era titles, and the 5G WiFi module online gaming. HDMI connectivity means you can go big-screen, unlike my beloved Miyoo Mini. So I might be due an upgrade. 

Usual legal stuff about emulators being bad, etc. The system isn't up on the Anbernic site yet and no word on price. And given the tricky nature of clamshell systems recently, I'd wait for a few reviews to see if the hinge is solid.
