Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! But he's had the energy and drive to do something about it, and met the right people to get the job done!  What first got you interested in Vectrex and what spawned the idea of a Mini version? Sunsoft Collection 2 coming to Evercade

Arriving in April, Evercade's next set of collections are breaking cover with Sunsoft Collection 2 going live for pre-orders on February 29th (it being a leap year and all, why not make use of the extra day) with Aero 2 likely the most well known title.

Sunsoft Collection 2 includes seven classic titles, a touch heavy on the platform/puzzle side, from Japan across Game Boy, NES and 16-bit consoles featuring:

  • Aero the Acrobat 2
  • Blaster Master: Enemy Below
  • Daze Before Christmas
  • Galaxy Fight Universal Warriors
  • Pri Pri Primitive Princess
  • Ufouria The Saga
  • Zero: Kamikaze Squirrel
Certainly a list of never-played's and unknowns for me, but that's what makes Evercade releases such a fun event to look forward to.

More news to come from our favourite legit retro platform soon,
