Vectrex Mini interview - David Oghia talks up the nostalgic vector powerhouse

Having been wowed by the news of the Vectrex Mini at Gamescom , I rushed off some questions to VectrexOn's main man  David Oghia . After a post-event, well earned, break, he's kindly given us a lot of detail about the project and some new images of the unit to share.  His story mirrors mine somewhat, Vectrex represents a glowing, unaffordable, obelisk of gaming power from our youth! Vita arena-shooter Purified update, no shooting in the library!

Last year, Swedish solo dev Jocke "Balder" Häggström showed off the first glimpse of Purified, an exciting-looking Vita homebrew Quake-like arena shooter. There was another little update this March, but things have been quiet since. And that's cool - we're VitaIsland - we're used to waiting and we're not doing any of that dev-hassle, right? Balder has broken cover with a fresh update...

That patience has been rewarded with a new bunch of info, short video and more screens on Balder's Twitter, with a few of the new HQ images below. They show off enemies fighting back, some new architecture in the Library, and more detail and visual features.

Can't wait to see the end result, whenever that happens. Our Vita consoles will always be ready, updated for maximum stability. Brian Czernikowski is on musical duty, hopefully delivering a suitably edgy soundtrack.
