Last year, Swedish solo dev Jocke "Balder" Häggström showed off the first glimpse of Purified, an exciting-looking Vita homebrew Quake-like arena shooter. There was another little update this March, but things have been quiet since. And that's cool - we're VitaIsland - we're used to waiting and we're not doing any of that dev-hassle, right? Balder has broken cover with a fresh update...
Been like 280 days or something, I'm not dead just yet! 🙏

But I have been giving myself time to breathe, between work and proper free time it's been hard to find energy for hobby gamedev sadly and trying to force it will just burn me out.#purified #vitaisland pic.twitter.com/JPLNSKi7z4
That patience has been rewarded with a new bunch of info, short video and more screens on Balder's Twitter, with a few of the new HQ images below. They show off enemies fighting back, some new architecture in the Library, and more detail and visual features.
Can't wait to see the end result, whenever that happens. Our Vita consoles will always be ready, updated for maximum stability. Brian Czernikowski is on musical duty, hopefully delivering a suitably edgy soundtrack.
