Furyu's Crystar brings action and remorse to the Switch in 2022

Furyu's (The Caligula Effect) latest RPG is coming to the Switch thanks to NIS America. Crystar is an action-based combat title arriving early next year with a physical version as an exclusive to the NISA EU or US Stores.

The official website (not live as I write, but should be soon) has more info, the game hit Japan back in 2018 to modest success, with a western PS4 and Steam release back in 2019.  Here's the launch anime trailer and a JP gameplay clip below showing the 3D arena gameplay

Crystar features Rei and Mirai, two sisters dragged into a mysterious world known as Purgatory. Rei discovers a hidden power allowing her to fight against the otherworldly monsters, but loses control and accidentally kills her sister Mirai.

The game tells the story of Rei's journey to atone and battle to bring Mirai back to life. The action RPG showcases its unique narrative through the use of four playable characters, each with their own special Guardian, as well as the use of the Tear Gauge and Torments to juice up the combat against a range of freaky looking creatures.
