Persona 25th anniversary celebrations warm up

Persona has been a staple series across life of the PSP and Vita. Even now, having finished P3P and Persona 4 Golden, I'm enjoying the PSone Persona 2 Eternal Punishment and looking forward to the PSP edition, Innocent Sin. That's before heading back into P4G for a long-overdue (re)rerun.

It is a series that people who have experienced it can rarely put down. And there's more good news to come, even as it has moved on to  more modern formats with Persona 5 (that still feels great in Remote Play).

Atlus' 25th anniversary site got a recent update promising more news soon. "This September, the Persona series will celebrate its 25th anniversary! We want to thank everyone who has supported the series through all these years. To thank you all, we’re preparing a year-long campaign from September 2021 to Fall 2022, as the “Persona 25th Anniversary Year,” and we can’t wait for you to see everything we’ve got planned for the festivities!"

Among the immediate goodies are a collection of wallpapers you stick on your Vita as a smart lockscreen. And there will soon be some physical merch you can grab from the Atlus store.

Anyone betting that a total remaster of the series is on the way? Rather than some fresh ports of the Dancing All Night spin-off games and other modest efforts.
